If you watch carefully in episode 2 and 3, certain scenes in Palpatine's apartment or whatever, the background looks very flat. The actors were clearly in front of a green screen. I just thought Lucas would be better at making the background not so "flat" looking.

I thought one of the best cartoons using both traditional type animation and computer background technique was Futurama.
