Hey I remember that. That was the first combat firing of the wave motion gun, against the floating continent on Jupiter.

Here's a trivia: The theme of Space Cruiser Yamato is also being played by the band of the Japanese navy at official functions...or so I've heard.

I thought that cartoon was the coolest thing ever when I was growing up. Then Transformers and G.I.Joe showed up.
