What`s the betting on CIWS for the CVF? I have read Sea RAM is favourite over Phalanx but that could be wrong.
I also read that the old DERA, (no pun intended) laid out plans for a very tough ship with armoured bulkheads and "protected" Command centres but that was scrapped on costs grounds. There are rumours on Beedall that kevlar or ceramic armour will be used instead. I understand that the type of protection on the CVF is classified but what impact will "no" armour have on survivability? It is something that worries me a little.
