By having the ramp design without angled deck and arrestor landing we are limiting ourselves to at this time the f-35b which due to its nature carriers less paylaod and fuel.

We are also by having ramp without catapults not giving ourselves the option or the best awac system available to carriers namely the hawkeye.

yes there will be less stress placed on the aircrafts but they will have compared to their us counterpart a reduced capability.

The US has a wide range of aircraft to get a job done, we dont so we need our planes to be the best available and the f-35b isnt.
