When I lived in Murmansk (Kola Peninsula, near Norway) we had rather small ones, with only some MiGs and the occasional Rook. But once, at the 50 years of victory parade (9th of May 1995) we saw decent aerobatics, as well as a MiG-25! The Foxbat had huge engines and flew really fast. The commentator said that it was doing mach 3. I doubt it did, but it surely was fast!
As for Harriers, they seem nice. STOL Yaks are ugly.
Well growing up in the Seattle Metroplex meant good airshows back in the day. A couple of different places I lived where within walking distance of the Everett plant where they make the 747. I've seen the Blue Angels, Thunder Birds, and Snow Birds and just about every modern combat airplane flown by the US till the F-22. I don't know if its still there, but the little airfeild in Arlington even had an F-86F that was beign restored and some little Yugoslav light attack jet owned by a group of deputy sheriffs.

In the 6th grade of so I dreamed of being a pilot, but I have an inner ear problem and get vertigo to easy. So when I got older and joined the Military it was off to the army where I found my true love- tanks.

I am sure the pilots here can attest to some sublime moment when it all clicked and they said F yeah this is awesome. Tanks do that for me, there is just something almost musical in the whine of that big turbine or continental deisel.

Tronic,

is the MKM the new Malay version thats the one I was thinking of.
