Vietnam and South Korea are not comparable, as the methods and outcomes were different. South Koreans are probably thankful for American intervention. The Vietnamese are rightly pissed off that 3 million died for nothing.

Don't exagerrate, Saddam is not responsible for the death of millions, nor was it likely that he would be in the future. There were/are countries with populations far worse off than Iraq, and are in dire need of more foreign aid and/or military intervention.
