Yes. A company in Southern California is working on it. But it is still too heavy to consider as regular issue though I was very impressed by the test sample they showed me. Besides, the sheet heads in Iraq don't use the .50 caliber (even if they captured any) because they are too heavy and unwieldy for their type of hit and run fighting.
