Anti armor submunitions question
How good are those AT submunitions supposed to be.Specifically the BLU 108, it packs a 1lb copper EFP fired over mach 6 fired at the top of the tank where the thinnest armor is located. However how well can these submunitions aim their EFP's at specific parts of the tank. I.E. the engine exhasuts, side of the turret, glacis etc. Do these munitions simply fire at the center of the target or can they aim at specific parts and choose them intelligently or programmed?
I know the LOCAAS can aim it's EFP warhead at specific parts of the tank thanks to its LIDAR seeker however i'm not sure if the BLU 108 can do the same.
Can larger AT weapons such as the Hellfire 2 and Brimstone attack specific parts on the tank or do they just home in on the middle of the locked target?
