The second biggest fallacy (after presuming a "solution" will have to be net negative to India on Kashmir), is that the author seriously underestimates how well Pakistanis have ingratiated their stance on Kashmir with important external powers. I am sure you are aware of its multifaceted implications. The international naivette in this is dreadful!
Then there is terrain attrition in certain sectors of LOC, details of which I won't feed the trolls, but suffice to say will be greatly reduced with a more favorable step in an Indian "solution to Kashmir". Only fools expect permanent peace. "Peace", as the ancients used to say, "is the interlude between conflicts".
