The purpose of a secret war would be to get the Iranian Government to fight each other. Once the Iranian Government is disabled by the assassinations of the Iranian President and leading Iranian Mullahs, the bloodthirsty Revolutionary Guard would take over and start a premature war with Israel and the USA that Iran would lose. The Iranian people are just easily decieved cattle to be used by the Iranian Government. Whenever anything goes wrong in Iran the Iranian Government just blames their problems on the "Great Satan", the USA.

If this secret war targeted the Iranian Mullahs and Iranian President and assassinated them than the power vacuum this would create would cause a power struggle (coup or civil war) which the Revolutionary Guard would win. Once the crazy, blood-thirsty Revolutionary Guard is in complete control of Iran they would start a pre-mature war with Israel and the USA, this would than provide an opportunity for the USA to destroy the Irananian Military and the Iranian Government in the interest of self defence.
