I agree, unfortunatelly democratic rule in Chechnya is ABSOLUTELLY unrealistic assumption..... country can be rulled by some rude dictator.... so Putin installed one who is playing his SOB.
Same with Iraq.... only a brutal bastard can keep it together.... so USA better look for somebody Saddam like but pro-american. I never visited Iraq, not spoke to iraqi but the more I hear and see that more I come to conclusion - Democratic Iraq is a unrealistic dream.... better to understand that earlier than later. ps. Sorry Lunatock. I know you like Chechens .... I myself also sorry for this poor nation which has suffered so much..... but I see no other alternatives for them at this point of time. Chechen independence is not sustainable and this is proven.... they simply don't have popular and reasonable leader nor state traditions to be independent. Chechens NEED Russians.
