Foreign Minister Lavrov repeatedly declared that Russia will take only such decision which Belgrad will agree with. But you must understand that Russia's abilities are not very high. Perhaps the United States will do another way without UN Security Council. In fact Kosovo already independent and recognition of a state in UN is just a trick. US may choose one-side recognition then US will open its embassy in Pristina and after US other countries - Germany, Britain, Canada, France... In that case the UN recognition won't be very important. The Russian veto in UNSC may not help you.
