Though I am not a military person myself I find it rather strange if some intellingence agancies are worried about an Al Qaeda revival as in reality they have never gone away, been disbanded or stopped from their deadly reign of terror.
Clearly this is a well structured organization capable of gathering ground in most countries and supporters, plus is well financed. The fact that last year Afghanistan became the first country to have a economy based on drug sales alone shows there is huge financing for terror in our wold today.
With regard to Pakistan and any involvement it may have with this terrorist group or not, I would have thought that the Indian secret service would have been best suited to infiltrate this area.
President Bush has no right to claim that Al qaeda is on the run when still they are killing the inoccent in various countries of the World and for certain in my mind will hit either or both the US and UK again. One can't be complacent with a few good results as the global fight for terror is far from won.
The re insurgance of the Taliban in Afghanistan shows clearly the determination of these terrorist groups. Iraq in my mind is a different question.
