That's right I am aware, being an infantryman myself, that the regimental spirit in units that don't rotate their troops individually i.e. the combat arms have a very strong bond amongst themselves because of serving in the unit all their career span.
What I was asking is that notwithstanding this type of a bond, do the Legionnaires have that affinity that they would come to the rescue of their ex comrades to the extent of even committing murder?
I think I read it somewhere and since quite a few of you have friends in the Foreign Legion, I thought you could give more details on the authenticity of this claim.
