True. I can remember as a child crossing IK Brunels famous Tamar suspension bridge and there were countless grey painted battleships, aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, submarines and sundry other craft on both sides, as far as the eye could see. Today our once proud navy has been cut to the bone and it is but a shadow of its former self.
