They are homeported on both coasts of the United States, and 1 carrier is permanently homeported in Japan.

One note of fun TH...If I could shrink the picture down I have a pic of PNSY in the 80's. Note this is a very small reserve fleet. However the pic would show 2(BB's) 1(CV) 1(Sm CV) 12(DD's) 1(CA) 1(FF) and various other escorts. all in the small reserve. This "small" reserve is more firepower then most countries Navy's can even field at one given time. And this is only one small reserve.
