Yup, the just invited them. And then discussed socialist ideals over tea and crumpets. GET REAL!!! What kind of propaganda are you reading? They made that government themselves. Of course they asked for help, they were Soviet puppets, and being kept alive only because the Soviets propped them up.

Because as we all know, the Soviet Union had an economy it could brag about. Which is why perestroika was never instituted, because economic reform of the mighty Soviet economy was not needed. OH WAIT....
As far as the use of the RPG-29 against Israeli tanks, that is confirmed. That's not what they were really worried about though, more so about Kornet and Metis, known as AT-14 and AT-13 in the West, respectively. The fact the presence of these items is despite evidence, denied by Russia, is irrelevant.
