"San min zhu yi " gave noting to China too .When we were under "San min zhu yi"(1927-1949),we lost 30 millions people in the war, lost outer Mogolor and we were callded "Esat Aisa sicker ", the forigners were God in china and we were their dogs."Sam min zhu yi " is a good ideal but not a useful one.
you're confusing your history. the "sick man of east asia" and foreigners being treated on a pedestal was more emblematic of the late qing than the early "republican" period. by 1907, even the british had admitted that the days of relatively small numbers western troops landing in china and doing whatever they wished was over.

in any case, how well did jiang jieshi/chiang kai-shek follow the "san min zhu yi"? he took a nice big piss on all of it, that's what. mao followed the "san min zhu yi" better (at least in the beginning). that's why he did what jiang could not do.
