No. The majority of TWese support status quo. They want reunification only and only if China has more demo-crazy (it will help a great deal if CCP is out of power in PRC) type of government. They are not calling for a total western style of libral demo-crazy either.
So basically he was more concentrated on TI than Domestic affairs
Yes you are correct in a way. He also tried to play the race card. In addtion, during the last election he will lose if allowed the armed force to vote, that really pis* the military off.
Im fujianese myself and speak some min-nan hua. Do people picture Fujianese as distant relatives or people of the PRC?
You are generalized alot in your questions, I don't like to sterotype an entire 22 million. Anyways, many folks in TW speak minnan, in fact many times a taxi cab driver would speak to me in minnan (I speak none), they retired in fujian in large numbers, land is cheap, food is cheap, why not (you should know that). and watch minnan channel in cable TV. I would think they think Fujian are relatives. As a side note, many older folks in HongKong moved back to ML also.
CDF is down for a software ugprade. hoepfully it will be back online soon.
