As I said there's much debate on the issue.
These words came onto Man when women got zilch. So could it be describing that women will get a share as opposed to half a share?
Read it this way "Male will get just that of what two females get". This is binding onto the deceased even if he says "nothing for my daughters" he can't do that. That's the practice in Pakistan. Whereas he CAN legally give equal shares to all the heirs. Sparten would know better as a law student.
