National Review

In the latest issue for the month of May there is an amazing article on Barack Obama"Hot Air Rising (Barack Obama, the phony reformer out of Chicago)"

Just wondering if anyone here subscribes to the magazine and if they have read the article, and comments please.

I have read many articles the past year on Obama, but not that one. Do you have a link?

UPDATE: I got it and read it.

My opinion? I have researched and read everything I could find on Obama since about October, 2007, to find something concrete about his views. I have failed.

I think he is a typical Chicago politician that speaks only for political posturing for his own gain. I say this based upon his voting record, and his formative years in Illinois. Of all the political corruption in politics in Chicago, Obama never made a move to do anything about it, he only aligned himself with them, which is a big reason why he is where he is today. I firmly believe Rev. Wright was a big catapult for him, which would explain Rev. Wrights' explosive speeches. He was clearly angry by being dissed by Obama. I found it rather laughable, but it did confirm my suspicions wholeheartedly.

Isn't going to the National Review for an article on Obama a bit like going to Mother Jones for an article on Dubya?

Certainly no danger of having preconceptions challenged in either case.

I think you'd be surprised at the diversity of opinions amongst the NR writers and editors. And their online site, The Corner, is more intellectually stimulating and wide-ranging than most classrooms I've ever attended.
