Why the last eight years are no mystery

If someone believes government is bad well of course we will get bad government.
He didn't believe in regulation and we got agencies that didn't enforce regulations.
He believed the worst words you can hear are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help" so, of course government failed to 'help" anyone when it was tasked to do so.( everyone on wall street thought like this till two weeks ago)
I'm sticking to voting for people who believe government can work for it's people
