Ann Coulter endorses Clinton

I transcribed these excerpts from a clip of Hannity & Colmes yesterday. Somehow she thinks Clinton is just to the right of McCain. McCain has a rating of 82.3 from the ACU, while Clinton has a rating of 9.0. She seemed to be particularly hung up on the whole torture/interrogation issue. I absolutely loathe this woman, she sounds like a pull-string talking doll on crack.
Quote:
ANN COULTER:If he's our candidate, Hillary's going to be our candidate Sean. She's more conservative than he is, I think she would be strong on the War on Terrorism. I absolutely believe that.

SEAN HANNITY: That's the one area I disagree with you on.

ANN COULTER: No, no, we're going to sign up to get her but let me explain my point on terrorism.

SEAN HANNITY: So you would vote for her over...

ANN COULTER: Yes, I will campaign for her if it's McCain. Ok, he voted for...

SEAN HANNITY: [laughing] If Hillary is watching tonight, you just got an endorsment...
Quote:
ALAN COLMES: Let me get this straight... would you vote for Hillary Clinton?

ANN COULTER: Yes!

ALAN COLMES: So you would go into a voting booth...

ANN COULTER: If it's close and the candidate is John McCain because John McCain is not only bad for Republicanism which he definitely is, he is bad for the country.

SEAN HANNITY: I disagree with Coulter.

you know, i'm not exactly surprised at uber-right wing coulter's anger against mccain, but i AM surprised by how she defended hillary clinton.

not even as just the "best of two evils", but a clear "I think she would be strong on the War on Terrorism. I absolutely believe that. "

wow.

Yeah, I saw this. Ann Coulter has alienated everyone else, now she is seeking to alienate the conservatives as well by acting like even more of an idiot.

I would rather have Coulter against us than with us.

She's not a host, and she didn't attack them. She said they didn't have the right to claim to be above criticism simply because of what happened to their husbands.

From Edward Morissey's "Captain's Quarters":
Quote:
Has Ann Coulter Finally Jumped The Shark?

She did for me last year at CPAC, of course, when she derided John Edwards as a "fa-ggot". At the time, a number of conservative bloggers wrote that she had embarrassed the movement and owed Edwards an apology, which she refused to offer. This year, the ACU has opted not to have her as a featured speaker, although I understand she will appear at an ancillary event at CPAC.

Of course, she can then explain why she will campaign for Hillary Clinton if John McCain wins the Republican nomination.

So let's walk through the logic here. John McCain gets castigated by Coulter because he aligns himself too often with the Democrats. Her solution to that is --- to campaign for the Democrats? Maybe someone can explain the thought process to me, but it sounds like a hysterical demand for extortion rather than a considered and thoughtful political position.

I'm supporting Mitt Romney because I think he is the better option. If Mitt doesn't win the nomination, I plan to support John McCain. He will have won the support of more of the party, and that would make him the man to carry the banner. I will still oppose some of his policy stands and acknowledge his apparent animus at times to the party base, but he will still be a much better choice for the nation than Hillary Clinton.

It appears Coulter hates McCain more than she cares about conservative values. She has acquired McCain Derangement Syndrome, and is rather obviously unbalanced by it. Sean Hannity was clearly embarrassed to listen to this tirade, and Coulter should have been embarrassed to have indulged in it.

I heard that segment in its entirety and she did not call John Edwards a fa-gott.

She said to the effect of: if we (the conservatives) have the same moral compass as the liberals then I could call John Edwards a fa-gott and not bothering with an apology.

OK Dale, so this is not an attack?

"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. These self-obsessed women seemed genuinely unaware that 9/11 was an attack on our nation and acted as if the terrorist attacks happened only to them. ... I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much ... the Democrat ratpack gals endorsed John Kerry for president ... cutting campaign commercials... how do we know their husbands weren't planning to divorce these harpies? Now that their shelf life is dwindling, they'd better hurry up and appear in Playboy."

This woman is scum. I flush things with greater integrity. Her coming out for Hilary is good news for the GOP

Personlly I think she was spot on in reguards to the 9/11 widows, I'm so sick of people politisizing their loved ones deaths rather than looking at 9/11 for what it was, an attackl on ALL Americans.

That said I think Coultier's stance on McCain and endorsing Hillary is rediculous and reckless. It amounts to political "scorched earth" policy within your own party and thats totally un-nessassary.

Then again, liberals have said much worse things and swept it under the rug.....

OK, this is the second time in as many minutes that I've burst out into loud and prolonged laughter thanks to the WAB.

Couldn't agree more Ironduke, and thanks for making my day.

One of the greatest losses on 9/11 for conservatives was Barbara Olsen.

Now we are left with idiots like Coulter and Malkin.

Wow, it's almost as though she wants Clinton to lose. Imagine what the Obama faction would do with this; it's so utterly revolting that I'm sure many Democrats on the fence would drop into the Obama side.
