Rudy for me at the moment. My ideology has always been closer to that of Republicans, but on some issues most core Republicans are too conservative for me. Hence, Rudy seems to be a great choice for me for now.

I should also admit that I haven't had to chance to really look into all of them quite yet, so my decision may change as time goes on.

I am officially "Undeclared", which in New Hampshire means I can vote for either party in the primary. I'm going to be Republican on that day, so I can vote for Ron Paul. The only candidate of either party that truly respects States' Rights and the 10th amendment.

I'm going with Ron Paul all the way. He seems to be the only one in all of the candidates (if not only there, but also in all of Congress) that really wants to truly uphold the U.S. Constitution. I know, many will not like him because of his foreign policy, but I'm sold on it. He did vote to go after the terrorists in Afghanistan, so that's good enough for me. He's just not into invading countries preemptively, which I like, because you cannot really trust the government (any government) on their word, since the past has shown that governments HAVE lied to get into wars simply for their own interests. Thus, I'd rather not trust my government enough to preemptively strike another nation, no matter how bad they say the leader is.

With that said, Ron Paul is the only candidate I know of that strictly wants to stick to the Constitution, as our founding fathers stuck to the Constitution. He's pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-LIMITED government (he goes out of his way to express this, which is good for a politician to do); Ron Paul is for homeschooling by the parents, getting rid of the Federal Reserve (if you do not know why this'd be good, then go watch Money Masters; type Money Masters in Google Video search), get rid of the IRS, get rid of the income tax (which started only because of the debt the government paid to the privately owned Federal Reserve putting high interest on each dollar borrowed. Did you know the Federal Reserve bankers LOVE when our government goes to war? Yep, that's because they know this is when the government borrows, with interest, mass amounts of dollars, and thus puts the government so much in debt to the Federal Reserve!), etc. etc. etc.

I mean, this guy seems to be the only one talking about things like this that'd truly turn this country around, for the good.

We'd be back to backing our dollar with gold or silver. Did you know our dollar is worth but 4 cents compared to what it was worth in 1913 (when the Federal Reserve Act was past... coincidence?)??? That's what happens to the worth of our dollar when the Federal Reserve prints out money at a high rate without gold or silver backing eac dollar.

I always loved reading quotes by our founding fathers, but it was not until I heard ron Paul speak, that he inspired me to read up much more on what they said. It's ASTOUNDING what they said! They even warned against having private banks ruling over the money. If only our government payed attention to the founding fathers' words.

Many talk about democracy, but did you know this is anti-American at the core? Oh, sounds odd, huh? Let's ask what Benjamin Franklin has to say about democracy:

Quote:
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
Not many speak like this today, right? That's because many have become ignorant of the spirit of liberty our founding fathers truly had.

As you can see, democracy lets the majority rule over the minority. Liberty gives minority a chance to live! We're a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy! Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

Here's another good quote by Thomas Jefferson, about government and people:

Quote:
Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. And to render even them safe, their minds must be improved to a certain degree.
EVERY government degenerates when trusted to the politicians! And many in this country blindly trust our government. They vote them in, and think that's all they have to do. How wrong they are.

Let's study up on what our founding fathers said!

Thanks to Ron Paul, because he has that same spirit of the founding fathers! A spirit of true liberty from the government attempting to rule over the people unjustly.

He rightly brings up how if the government didn't get in the way, 9/11 and other big school shootings would be stopped! If the airline companies and schools were given the freedom to arm their own employees, then these things could've been stopped, or at least lessoned.

Hey, I had no idea there were so many fellow RP supporters here

Y'all might be interested in this video of Ron Paul, taken from his speech at last year's Free State Project Liberty Forum.

Hm, Ron Paul definitely looks like an interesting candidate as well that I might consider. I didn't know a lot about him before, but will read up on him now!

Just for discussion sake over here... What's his stance on:

1. The separation of church and state
1a. sub issue: stem cell
1b. sub issue: gay marriage
2. Income tax (I believe he's against our current income tax structure)
3. .... I got interrupted here at work and forgot what I was gonna say! Will add later.

Ron Paul's got a lot of stances that sells himself to me well, but the opposition to stem cell research is a big big turn-off for me...

Actually, they FAKE it well.

Some of 'em found their way in here awhile back, and got banned purty quick when we all caught on to what they were up to; and some more just showed up. There is a proven Paulian 'Internet strategy' that is largely based on deception. Check it out if you haven't heard this before. It's one of the sneakiest things seen yet in seeking new ways to campaign via the 'Net.

They start, stuff, and stack on-line polls (which is almost certainly how our new 'members' found the WAB; they searched for and sniffed out THIS thread), they start conversations with each other to create an artificial 'buzz' (we have some excellent examples of this in previous threads), they assert Ron Paul's virtues (and he ain't all bad; but his campaign is based largely on deceit) and then have another 'op' defend it when the rebuttals start. (Look for THAT from our new 'members', immediately after I post this up.)

A smart political consultant no doubt came up with this new way of fighting the political battle in the new arena: the Internet. It's not going to work, though, because it's been largely uncovered for what it is, and if there's ANYthing that looks and smells suspicious to a voter, it's this kind of 'slickness'.

Ron Paul has NO SHOT at the Presidency, but take a look at the polling following debates, caucuses, etc., and you can see the hand at work behind the curtain. Paul's support is very, very thin, BUT...the Paulians have managed to make their guy look like a player. But it's all smoke and mirrors.

Okay, watch what happens next...
