Let's see; the original idea of this thread was favorite presidential candidate.
I watched McCain on the Charlie Rose show last night. Iraq, immigration and campaign reform notwithstanding, his passion to take on Social Security reform puts him up at the top for me. Thompson is going to make it a big issue, too. They're my dual choices. |

Well,I assume two...one that he "sits" on to recieve petitions from his serfs and one that he....uhhh.....you know...likes to read the paper while he sits on it....in private...

jeb bush who showed leadership as governor in florida and whom has unfortunately been harmed by the stubornness of his brother and the mess in iraq. another guy who I like because of his logical approach to government is newt gingrich although he does have an extreme streak to him.

There was an SF book out about 20 years ago where the US was celebrating its Tri-centenial. The president was picked by lot. I like that. So should the House of Reps. The theory is that someone who doesn't want to be president will be a good one; those who want to be pres become corrupted.
