Oh, there are still some BB's around, but you will need a wet suit (or a mini sub) to see them. There is Royal (or should I say, Royaled) Oak, at Scarpa Flow, Barham in the Med (can't be too good, her Mags blew), Hood in the Denmark Starits (see comment on Barham), POW and Repulse in Malaaca, and of course, Invincible, Indefatigable and Queen Mary some where in the North Sea.
Reason the Brits did not save any, was that since the British Empire had paid for them, and very soon after WWII, the Empire went belly up. Needed the money.
Yes true but they wont let you anywhere near the Royal Oak. Just like our Arizona she's off limits to all except the RN (Royal Oak) and USN (Arizona) two very large tombs for fallen heros.

Ahh well that explains it.

Actually to me I would like to see the Prince of Whales. She was the last RN battlewagon built with the classic stem stern. They say when she got torped it slammed one screw against the other. Can you imagine the noise, vibration and destruction that had been going on whilst trying to defend herself from attack? She didnt have to get aerial bombed, the screw damage alone made her completely useless and a sitting duck when she stoped forward motion. From that point no AA defense they could put up would have saved her she was finished.
