I know all the reasons but you forgot one.
5) The reputation and the pride of the InAF that all pilots are expected to live up to.
Most likely, the fatalities would go down as soon as those MiG-21 jalopies are replaced but as of right now, your pilots, young and old are asking way too much of those planes.
