I would love to tell of how TopHat and I met, but he does such a better job of telling it, so tomorrow I will ask him to storytell.

OK, here it goes:

Around 7-8 years ago, I lived in a suburb of Chicago and got a job at a local manufacturing plant (medical plastics). It was a 12 hour night shift...what fun!
So, my very first day/night on the job, I pull into the parking lot. It was still early, so plenty of sunlight.
As I rounded the corner and started looking for a place to park, somewhat nervous about my new job and potential co-workers, I catch a glimpse of somebody very close to my moving car, out of the corner of my eye, walking towards the entrance.
A split-second later, I realize that this is a female and she has decided to cross over to the sidewalk like the Queen of Sheba expecting all traffic to halt for Her Royal Highness.
I slammed on the brakes, causing a small squeal as the car comes to a halt.
Rather than jumping back in surprise, or even showing any sign of being startled at all, my would-be victim stops, turns her head and graces me with a frosty glance before calmly continuing on her way.
My first reaction was "What a bytch...who does she think she is?"
My second thought was "God, I hope I'm not working with HER!"

Both thoughts would be answered....spectacularly.

For the first 6 months or so, I could not STAND her.
At the start of shift, I would rush over to the machine assignments hoping and praying that I would not be assigned to work with her. All too often, I would be.

The rest of the story is somewhat complicated and hard to relate exactly what happened, but if you guys want, I'll do my best.
