Sir, I would like to think that you, too, were "idiotic" toward your, now, wife at one time... I am sure you two had your fill of glances and nudges in your day, no?

My dear TopHat and I are just living dreams of a time we let slip by, trying to make up for missed opportunities, and playing out our own little "What Could Have Been" scenario. Living 1300 miles apart, we don't get to share glances and the cold reality is that there will only be, unfortunately, the rare nudge poked between us. If this makes me "idiotic"...then all I can say is: Every village needs one and for my dear TopHat, I will gladly step up.
