Thats a reality with all domestic animals. They'd be killed by the street smart animals if not caught and sold... by meaner animals like humans.
13,000 Dh. Means about 2 Lakh rupees, People in Pakistan won't let go of him, u know.
Shortened wings, doesnt mean he can't fly. He can still flap them, enough to roam about in a villa. He's raised like the 5th member of the family and included in our family portraits. My mother has hired an exclusive care-taker for him (well they're cheap in Pakistan). My folks are even making a Koko room in their new house that they're building.
He's a little too spoilt, you should see him throw a tantrum, the entire neighbourhood would come running "Someone go murdered or seomthing?" I wouldn't advise you getting a bird if you can't give him 24/7 attention. These birds don't eat much, but they want to be around people all the time and you have to be ready to get a lot of furniture chewed off. I used to have a German Shepherd, several cats... but keeping a bird is a whole lot different. They can actually fall sick if they feel you don't love them.
REPTILES!? For some reason I'm getting a visual of a girl swarmed by Lizzards and Snakes :D lol... what kinda reptiles? Frogs? They seem like a cool pet, though that'd be an amphibian.
